Castle RN called - Surgery time set

Just got a call from the Castle RN. My surgery is set for 10 AM, and I have to be there at 8. Yay!

She told me not to take any more Aleve or aspirin for cramping because they will thin my blood. I have to switch to either Tylenol or Darvocet between now and Friday.

She also said to pack an overnight bag, even though my surgery is scheduled as out-patient. This is just in case there are any problems, and he wants me to stay in the Castle.

As for my Thursday diet, she said bland diet and lots of liquids. Cream soups are ok too. No bowel prep. Yay!

I am to shower with HipaCleanse Friday morning. No shaving after today. No lotion, powder or deodorant Friday morning.

There have been a lot of questions floating around from those of us headed to the Castle this week. I hope some of the above helps my fellow

Best of luck to those heading to the Castle this week. And hugs and speedy recovery wishes to the new Princesses.

Re: Castle RN called - Surgery time set

Hi Michelle

That sounds almost exactly like my preparations. I was so happy to avoid bowel prep that I didn't mind all the rest.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

I didn't have to do a bowel prep either, but I sure wish I had cleaned everything out ahead of time. The constipation pain is terrible!
