TVH with epidural?

I'm scheduled to have a TVH with epidural. Will I be as tired as if I had a General? Other symptoms?

TVH with epidural?

Hi Crow,

to Hyster Sisters!!

If you mean the groggy-tired right after surgery, no, you probably won't be as tired as you would with general anesthesia. Imight be wrong, but I think you are asking about the first few weeks of recovery, and that kind of tired comes from having surgery. Your internal organs will have been moved around, your uterus will have been removed, you'll have internal sutures, and your body is going to need time to rest in order to heal properly.

Have you read the Pre-Op Hints and the Post-Op Hints yet? They are full of great advice that will help you to prepare for your surgery and recovery.

I hope you'll continue to read and to post any questions that you may have - we'll do our best to help.
