TAH: Reality has set in

Good Evening:
I am really starting to lose it, I have to be at the hospital at 5:30a.m. surgery is scheduled for 7:30a.m. done by 9:30a.m. (hopefully she says) and in recovery by 11a.m. I just got a call telling me all of this. Am I going to be able to handle this, this is what I wanted right so why am I so worried. Ok.......just venting this really is a lot, I have been doing good so far. I got a headache, I have to start bowel prep soon and I am going to bed right after because the thought of not being able to eat will make me want to eat more. Aaaaaawwwweee!!!!!

I hate 'that call' It makes me shake & realize- this is it!
Yes, You will be able to handle this. You will do fine & it will be great when it is over!
My surgery is months away- But its the same time as yours.
You will be there & done before you know it.

Soon after you get there, the anesthesiologist will probably give you a 'cocktail' that will have you feeling just fine!!!! You will make it through this just fine and be that much better when it is over. I will be thinking about you tomorrow morning. Be sure to let us know how you are when you get to the post-op side!!! LOL

You'll be fine. I had my TAH last Friday and the waiting was the worst part, so the first or second surgery is awesome. I don't even remember the first day. It went so much better than I had thought. The nurses are so awesome, and don't get enough credit. I just wanted out of the hospital, but had to stay cause I wasn't eating. I'll be praying for you.

Hang in there! I know tomorrow will go just fine for you! I'm sure I'll be feeling the exact same way as you do two weeks from now!!

Thanks for all the support. I am really freaking out I'm trying to get through all this prep so I can go to sleep. I want to sleep until 4am so I can take my 2nd shower & be on my way.

Remember to Pamper the Princess! Make that shower extra long and don't worry, you're on your way to the best thing in the world! WHITE PANTS AND NEW PANTIES!!!! WOOOHOOO!
