Granulation or not?

Hi sisters. I'm about 7 weeks post op and have been in for two check ups since the surgery. The first time the doctor said he "thought I had some granulation." He said he was going to put some medicine on it (which I assume now was silver nitrate), told me to continue using the premarin cream and come back in two weeks. So, I did. At this check, he said what he thought was granulation may not be what it is. He said, "This may hurt and will likely bleed, I'll put more medicine on it..." "Sex is up to you, come back in two weeks." This really concerns me since I'm not really sure what the problem is and what's going on. My husband says he can "feel something scatchy" during intercourse and it is slightly painful for both of us. Any ideas what this is and what can be done? I'm really starting to regret having the hysterectomy because our sex life was really great before. I'm so afraid it will be ruined because of this. Can you guys help?

Granulation or not?

Honey, don't be fearful. I know that the healing process is greatly frustrating. Please see your doctor again as soon as you can. If he doesn't give you any answers to your questions--by all means, see another doctor. I regretted my hyst for so long until I finally realized that there is no going back, and now I must take each day and find the good in it. You do reach a place where things do seem to get better. I am living proof of that. Hang in there and please don't give in to despair. It is easy to do so soon after surgery. I know, since I sunk into the deepest depression of my life. But, I am coming out of it. You can and will make it Sweetie. Remember, you have just had MAJOR surgery and healing takes a lot of time. It truly does. ~Moonchime
