TAH July 2009 and now I have a small ovarian cyst

I had my TAH (kept ovaries) on July 24th of last year. I went to the ER last night because of stomach pains. CAT scan showed a small ovarian cyst on my left ovary. I have never had an ovarian cyst before and now I do post TAH. Anyone of you ever dealt with this???

Small ovarian cysts can be a normal occurrence during the monthly cycle. It is the developing egg which will be released soon. Many women never notice it, other women can feel it every month, therefore know when they are ovulating. I always had pain, but never bad enough to send me to the ER.

I would discuss the findings with your to see if there might be something else causing the pain, or what the radiologist actually finds and includes in his report.
