Vaginal hyster. and rectocyle repair

Hi,

I had a TVH and rectocele repair and I was 53 last year. The TVH hardly hurt , but the rectocele gave me a hard time. I did need medication. My behind was sore and I would suggest you get a donut pillow. I did not have one, but used a regular pillow. I also used Metamucil, stool softners and Ducolax, all with dr approval .

I did not take the perscription pain pills long, because they constipated me and you don't want that, so I was allowed to take Motrin and dr had me take more than what is recommended on bottle. I guess I took them everyday for a week or two and then off and on for about 5 or 6 weeks as needed.

I had a sit down job and went back to work at 6 weeks. I could sit then comfortably without lounging around.

You may not be as uncomfortable as I was, everyone is different.

If you go to the top of the page and click on Search you can type in rectocele or whatever you want to look up and you can read threads on what others have said about their experience.

Congratulations on your nice big family. I don't have grandchildren yet.

I hope this helps some.

Best wishes and s
