Any advise from the princesses?

I agree with kde902. My emotions have been kind of wacked out lately. I will be crying and scared and sad one minute but then the pain I have been in reminds me of how ready and excited to get on with life with no pain. It has truly been a whirlwind of emotions for me. I honestly don't know what emotion is going to come next. I too am finished with my family, but I find myself looking at babies and thinking "I will never have one of those again, I will never be able to be pregnant again". It is really sad, but you have to think of the positives of this. Like me I am in really good shape and would be extremely healthy if it weren't for my female anatomy. So, pick your head up and look forward for tomorrow. We have the rest of our lives to live. You also have all of your hystersisters here for you if you ever need to talk. I will be praying for God to pick you up and allow you to feel his presence and love in your life.

Any advise from the princesses?

I think that Kara hit the nail in the head for me. I am 42 and never had children, but that was my choice. That is just the way that our life worked out. At a certain point I felt like I was too old. My Mom had me when she was 45 and she died when I was 16 and I always wanted to be sure that I didn't do that to a child. Irrational on every level? You bettcha. I don't judge others who have children late in life. I know that my fears are irrational and I'm not judgemental anyways... I have enough of a challenge keeping up with me and remembering to wear my own socks in the morning, who would I be to judge another?

But Kara really expressed what was bothering me. It is a totally different thing when it isn't my choice anymore, because my body has made it a medical choice. I didn't make this decision lightly. It has weighed heavy on my heart. I've tried other things and my fibroids keep coming back. I'm tired of the pain and I want to enjoy my life with my DH. I'm not saying that I regret the choices I have made, but I always liked knowing that there was still a possibility out there.

Anyways... thanks for being there for my late night insecurity-laden rant. Sorry y'all. I'm sure there will be more of these as my date approaches. You guys are the greatest.
