changing hospitals...again

I'm feeling frustrated today, the hospital where I was supposed to had to say sorry find someone else because I'm high risk. So now I'm going to have surgery in a hospital two hours from home. Oh joy. I'm not looking forward to that ride home

You gotta be kidding me!
I am so, so sorry- That's infuriating on so many levels.

I really want to scream but I'm trying to be a nice person. I see them on the 22nd and we will move forward from there

Re: changing hospitals...again

I had surgery in a hospital that was 2 hours away. The ride home wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Just make sure to bring a pillow to put between the seat belt and your belly.

Same here. Hospital was 2 hours away. Agree with the pillow and make sure you ask to take a pain pill before you leave. The ride was not bad at all. In fact, I don't remember much of it.

Sadly because we have be one a sue-happy society, these situations arise. Next thing hospitals will start turning away "high risk" patients that are brought in as emergencies ..
Hope things work out for you

Re: changing hospitals...again

I know it would be nicer to go to a hospital close to home, but this is a good thing. Your local hospital recognized that they didn't have the resources or staff to insure your safety, so they referred you to a hospital that did.

Praying for your quick recovery.
