Last visit from my friend

As I sit here in horrific pain waiting on the arrival of the LAST visit from my friend I am kinda sad. Doesn't hardly make sense, every month for 10 years I have cried, taken pain meds and wished this would go away and now that the end is in sight (Nov 18) I am not as happy as I thought I would be. Anybody else feel like this before the big day

Re: Last visit from my friend

Yes! My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, and I got my period today. My doctor says it's fine and won't interrupt anything, but I'll admit, I'm kind of sad, even though the pains I was having earlier were sharp, sudden, and had me doubling over.

Re: Last visit from my friend

It is normal to be mournful regarding your uterus. Even though it has caused you such problems, it is still part of you. Saying goodbye can be difficult. This is something that has made its presence known to you for decades, and now it being taken away. It is okay to be sad over this.

Good luck to both of you with your upcoming surgeries. We will be waiting for you on the other side....
