Re: type 2 Diabeties post op
Hormonal issues can affect sugar. Since the blood supply to the ovaries is interrupted with a hysterectomy, it is possible your ovaries are not functioning properly and you are dealing with some hormonal imbalance that is affecting your sugar.
Also, it can take our bodies several months to recover from a hysterectomy. Any stress can also affect your sugar levels.
Medications and supplements can also affect sugar levels. Have you changed any of these since your surgery?
Have you talked to your doctors about your sugar levels? You may need to adjust your insulin or meds and possibly your diet for awhile while your body adjusts.
Make sure you are drinking plenty of water!

Re: type 2 Diabeties post op
thank you so much for answering. That makes sense now tha tyou mention it about eh ovaries. Yes I have spoken to my doc and she isn't to concerned about it at this point an disn't really to hurried to do much about the meds. I Just feel punk when sugars get high. We agreed to give it 3 more months before we start tinkering with meds. The only thing that was introduced since surgery is lipitor. All the other meds are the same as before surgery.
I take pride in keeping my sugars in line so kinda bummed that they aren't at this point. I am trying to be patient lol. not easy though.
