Vaginal dryness, no sex drive, pain during intercourse natural remedies please

Hi sisters!! I had my hysterectomy jan 2012, sinse then I have tried estradoil pills, Premarin, estrodot 50, then the 37.5, and currently on estrogel one pump a day. I like this estrogen ( no more hot flashes, night sweats) but still having low libido!! I have a drs apt in a couple weeks!! The only problem is I am from Canada and currently no testosterone approved for woman, any one try natural test boosters with any success?? I have been researching and I am getting so confused!! From tribulus to long jack (eurycoma) to damiana, help!! Studies show it works, but for men, I would like to know if some woman have had any success!! I am starting l-arginine powder tomorrow for nitric oxide to see if that helps any!!

I'm using oestrogel- but up to three pumps now

I've recently had a run of illnesses which have impacted on my libido at times

I talked to my GP and now I'm used to having a sky high libido since my hysterectomy I've told her no way will I let that go again.

Her first comment was to increase the oestrogen by another pump as I was only having two and usual dosage is apparently two to four.

I did ask if there was a testosterone gel/cream but its not licensed here in UK. She's given me Livial tablets to try - (I can have the cream if I have an adverse reaction to these tablets like I did with with the oestrogen tablet)

However, I haven't tried the tablets yet as I do feel better with the increased oestrogen and am back to thinking about sex so I'm hoping I'm on the right path

I can't wait til my dr apt!! I started taking tribulus, with eurycoma and arginine!! First day all was better second day headache today I am only going to take tribulus and arginine, just to see! I'll keep u updated!!

Finally got prescribed Androgel 1% pump I am to apply 1/4 pump daily!! Just started it today!! I had went to see the dr but he referred my to a new gyn, but couldn't get in til early November! I was feeling so terrible that I went back to the dr and he prescribed the testosterone! Now wondering how long before I start feeling better!! I am plied a pea sized amount on my lower abdomen!!

When I started using testosterone cream (compounded), my DR told me it could take 2 to 4 weeks to feel a difference. I started feeling like I had more energy within about 3-4 days of starting it, then my mood improved by the end of the first week; my libido returned at the end of the second week.

Just remember, if a little testosterone is good, more is not better. It's important to watch for signs of too much and back off using it before they get worse; acne and oily skin are usually among the first telltale signs. Gradually adding more until you feel good is much easier than getting impatient and using too much and then trying to get rid of symptoms you don't want to have.

Thank you for your reply!! I am finally feeling more energy, day 4, no side effects yet!! Just wondering if anyone or yourself Linda felt puffy or bloated or had weight gain with the testosterone??

I personally did not. Those sound more like symptoms of estrogen dominance to me.

I use Maca Root. Since I started using it I have got some of my libido back and don't have to much of the vaginal dryness. It is an over the counter herbal supplement.

I had my hysterectomy in June 2013 and have painful intercourse and dryness. My doctor thinks the pain is coming from scar tissue on my cuff..I too wanted to go the natural route. So for lubricant we use olive oil (my GYN recommended) and to boost by estrogen naturally I am taking GinkoBiloba. It is used for memory issues; however, in looking at ingredients for the most popular natural estrogen pill (I forget the name) it showed GinkoBiloba as a natural estrogen booster. Research it, but it has made a difference in my libido, and if I forget to take it for a few days I can definetly see the difference in it. God bless, I hope this helps!
