LSH should I still feel cramps postop?

I had my LSH oct 5... And am feeling cramps of all things! I don't dare tell my husband he will surely think I'm crazy! Have some ugly bruising going on at the incision by my belly button and can't cough or I feel like my insides will come out of the tiny hole. Please tell me it gets better.....

It gets better for sure! Cramps are not unusual if you think about everything that was done inside you. Keep taking your meds and be pro-active in getting rid of the gas that you probably have. A damp towel heated in the microwave and then wrapped in a dry one will help as will Gas-X and walking. I hope you feel better soon.

No idea about the belt because I never used one. Maybe someone who has will come along and answer your question.

I slept with my abdominal binder as that is the only way I could get comfortable. To me I think it's personal decision as some cant stand the binder at all. Without it my stomach wiggled way to much & I could not stand it.

Thank u Lainey! I took it off for a breather then I think it will be going back on for bedtime. Like u, my belly wiggles too much and the tight support feels better.

Would a heating pad set on low do the trick as well for gas?

It might. I understand it is the moist heat that helps. Try the heating pad and if that doesn't work, try the moist heat.
