UFE August 2014: so far so good

This site has been a big help for me.... I am 47 I had UFE on August 27, 2014... so far so good... recovery was a little rough but worth it... I suffered very heavy periods 7 days long having to wear tampons and pads as well.... I was anemic and had a blood infusion in July..That explained all my fatigue for the past year....my OB/GYN put me on iron supplements. .. ..The blood infusion was the last straw for me... I have a strong sexual desire and worried that a hysterectomy would kill it... and I didn't want to be cut on and couldn't afford to be off work for 8weeks even with Short Term Disability.... so I opted for UFE... I am happy with the results. ... my first period began on Sept 8 and has been so light I can wear a thin pad all day with no tampon!... I think the key to UFE is making sure every fibroid is embolized.... If some are missed the problem will still exist... so yes I recommend it
