3 weeks post hysterectomy - tingling and numbing in hands??

Prior to my surgery I was diagnosed with a Migraine condition (silent migraine) that causes me to have numbness and tingling on my left side but not necessarily migraine headach pain. My neurologist said it was likely triggered by the hormonal change my body went through after having a Mirana IUD placed to help control endometriosis symptoms.

Not saying this is the case for you but I can say that hormonal changes (hysterectomy) can cause that type of thing to happen.

Best thing to do is rest. And when u feel up to it a chiropractor really helped me with it. I found one that specializes in Chiropractic Neurology.

Hope u feel better.

Re: 3 weeks post hysterectomy - tingling and numbing in hands??

Thanks so much for your replies. I rang my surgeon and he said it's possibly symptoms from the hysterectomy and change of hormone levels and to see how it goes. Well I actually haven't had it for a few days now but what has started is headaches!! Again I am putting it down to the hormone imbalance so... not drinking as much green tea. I forgot it has caffeine in it and being home I am having heaps more than I would normally while I'm at work. Will see if that makes a difference today.
