I hate that you feel this way as I did too!! I went back to work after a full 9 weeks off and then did 2 months of part time, which now that I am back full time I have people commenting on how weak I was when I first started back. My spouse is female and had a myoectomy 10 years ago and still did not have complete empathy and sympathy. In later conversations though she confessed to being frightened by seeing me in such a weak and vulnerable state. She wasnt used to it and reacted poorly because I am usually such a strong personality. It has changed me, my body, my marriage and my out look on life--All for the better, but it took some months for me to get there. Take this one day at a time--seriously --and pretty soon life will flow just as it should

I can so relate to that. When my dh is sick or weak in any way, it scares me because he is usually my rock. I find myself pulling away and having to remind myself to connect more.

Re: Feel like a disapointment at 6 weeks Post OP

I had an LSH and felt like I should be able to be back to work as a first grade teacher by week 3(my doctor told be 2-3 week recovery for LSH). The night before I was to go back, I felt so Not ready, that I walked into work the next day and asked to try half days for my first week back. Even half days were rough. I too felt so wimpy. However, I got the same advice you are getting now from your hystersisters and that is everybody recovers at different speeds. After their advice I left work at noon each day to go home and take my nap. It was well worth it because when I went back to work full time this week, I felt ready. Take it easy and good luck with your recovery.
