One week post hysterectomy feeling ok

Hi all! I had LAVH on May 12th. I had a great surgeon and my surgery went well.
I am 36 years old with 3 teenagers. I had my surgery because of 14 plus years of cervical and uterine displaysia, in order to prevent it from developing into cancer.
I am recovering well and have actually returned to work because I cannot take more time off.
I didn't have a bowel movement until last Saturday and still have problems with gas. I had to resort to using milk of magnesia for assistance.
I would say just eat fruit and other things with fiber and take the stool softener. Drink lots of water, get up and move around. The tummy binder helped me a lot and also the grabber is helpful so I don't have to bend down.
I was more worried about the recovery than the surgery and I still worry because of all the stories I read here . But without this website I would not know what to expect and would not have anyone to talk to or ask questions.
