Great Sex Life Scared To Lose...

I have read quite a few posts about lebido and the lack of. I hope that I am just reading the negative posts because now I am really scared. My husband and I have a great sex life. Thats one thing that is important to me after my first marriage which was a horrible 10 years. I have a wonderfully patient and understanding husband but I know how much he appreciates that we work so well together as I do. Please someone tell me that its not all that common to lose that.. Please Please Please....

Great Sex Life Scared To Lose...

Hi TNOF. I had a hyster in February and my sex life has not changed. I know we read a lot of bad stuff about it, but try to keep that out of your thoughts and focus on the positives.

Great Sex Life Scared To Lose...

I am older and in peri-menopause, so suffer from varying libido naturally.

I just want to report that sex is still fun and my husband is thrilled with not having to worry about protection. We have joked about an anytime/anywhere policy now.

I understand your worry since it was mine before the surgery, but I am very happy I had the surgery since sex is still great and I feel so much better.

Best wishes to you - Joanne

TNOF,
I had my hyster back in March and let me tell ya....sex is MIND BLOWING .....I didn't think it could ever get better but, man o man... don't worry so much, I was told that if you had a great sex life before the chances of you having the same kind are very high!

Great Sex Life Scared To Lose...

My sex life with my husband is actually better since the surgery. No pain, no bloating, no waiting until after the heavy periods. And the O's are better, longer, stronger. You get the picture.

Great Sex Life Scared To Lose...

Hi there TNOF. I just wanted to chime in on this issue. At first I lost all interest in sex. But after a couple of months my sex drive skyrocketed. It is better than before. Its has been a few years since my surgery and its still great. Just keep in mind that alot of times we post things that are negative trying to get information or suggestions. I was scared to loose what little sex drive I had, and then I did. But like I said a couple of months later it picked up. Our body has to have time to adjust. Once my body adjusted it feels so much better. I never knew what a "multiple O" was because sex was just to painful. Now I enjoy sex so much better.

Great Sex Life Scared To Lose...

I, too, am terrified of loosing the sex drive! I'm only 28 and will be having a TAH BSO on Sept. 23 for endometriosis. I'm worried sex isn't going to be the same (well, hopefully it won't hurt half the time) and my multiple O's won't go away.

Just my two cents. Mine is BETTER!! No pain -- better lubrication and I actually HAVE a libido. I guess my ovaries weren't producing the right stuff, because now, without them, I feel wonderful!!!
Best of luck!
