pre-op tomorrow

Hello, it's been a while since I last visited this site. Well, here goes. I've been thinking about this for a long time (over two years). My surgery is finally scheduled for July 10. Tomorrow morning is my pre-op appointment, and I've been reading over the list of questions to ask. Thanks so much for the advice. Any last bits of information or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are prepared, since you are "armed with your list." I didn't discover the Hystersisters site until after my surgery, so you are much more "in tune to the process" than I was!

My only "words of wisdom" for you at this point are this: Reflecting back on the time over three years ago when I had my surgery, I feel that, although it was not the most pleasant experience in the world, neither was it the worst. I am sending many positive thoughts your way, and I hope that you have a positive "journey to good health."

I took my list (an edited version of the one on this site). When I was through, I asked my doctor "Is there anything I didn't ask or anything else I should know?" I don't remember what she said, but it's worth asking.
