Either should be fine but you may find the yoga pants nicer to sit around in in case your legs get a bit sweaty and stick together. I also wore leggings a lot with a loose fitting top over them.

I wore both, I had a horizontal incision. I also wore my daughters silky pj bottoms as the were slippery and helped me get out of bed.

I stocked up on Women with Control pants on QVC, So comfy, and they have a little support for your tummy. Also, Lands End had some comfy stretch pants..

Re: TAH after surgery loose yoga pants or dresses

For me it was more about where the elastic waistband was. For a bikini incision you should be fine with leggings as long as they have a nice high waist that you can pull right up. The little bit of support of the elastic fabric is quite comforting on your tummy too. Also, some knickers that are a little higher in the waist band so it doesn't ruck down in to your incision. Don't have to be great big granny pants but something like a boy short is comfy, pick up a few cheap ones in a size larger to start with just to make sure nothing digs in.

Re: TAH after surgery loose yoga pants or dresses

Hi, I also am having a TAH. His nurse actually told me that high waisted leggings or yoga pants (and panties) one size larger then normal are the best for the first few weeks after surgery.

Good luck.

Re: TAH after surgery loose yoga pants or dresses

Hello,
I had TAH 3 days ago. I went home in yoga pants with no problem. Today I am wearing a long sundress & my robe.

My incision is about 6 inches, right above my hair line & is stapled.

Either one should work well for you!

Re: TAH after surgery loose yoga pants or dresses

I had a vertical TAH on 4/12 and no way can I wear anything that rubs against my incision. I've been loving in long nightshirts and opt to go underwearless as well.

Re: TAH after surgery loose yoga pants or dresses

It was summer when I had mine and pretty hot so I wore knit sundresses - very comfy.
