weird dreams after surgery

Hi all, I had a total hysterectomy on oct 20th came home on the 22nd,last night was the worst for pain,and having really weird dreams,anyone else having the same? I have learned alot from reading the posts here, thanks

the narcotic pain pills made my dreams very odd....and even while I was awake colors and shapes were different. since I've never used drugs (well...illegal ones anyway) recreationaly, it was a new experience.

I also have been having very vivid dreams since my hysterectomy. Maybe it's due to hormonal changes?

I had very bad nightmares from the medication that they used to put me to sleep. The narcotics also can give you very vidiv dreams. Once all the medications get out of your system you should see them ease up & go away. Take it easy.

Oh I had such bad dreams as well!! Nightmares even! I definitely think the pain meds did it to me. They were so realistic...one was my husband having a baby with someone else, I think my internal fears were coming out! Woke up in tears from a few. Definitely normal!
