Lapro Hyst and Diverticulitis

I had an emergency lapro hysterectomy 11/09/12 at 6 in the evening. I had two golfball sized cysts on my ovaries and numerous fibroids in my uterus. I had a complete hysterectomy. While in there my dr discovered i have diverticulitis. Part of my large intestine had attached to my left ovary with scar tissue. He had to cut all the scar tissue away before he could do the surgery. I am home now and on 2 antibiotics. I also have meds for pain. How long will I have gas pains in my lower abdomen and how long will I feel I have to urinate every 5 minutes. That catheter was just awful. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I'm not sure if this is similiar but my uterus was scarred to my bowels on the right side. It took 45 minutes of cutting to detach them.

This was a little over 6 wks ago and my bowels/gas/swollen stomach are terrible still. I went in at a little over 4 wks and was told it would all settle w/ time. My surgeon really didn't say much else other than to call if it gets worse. I do not want to see a gastro at this point or undergo any sort of scan because I am still having gas and bowel movements. Nothing seems "stuck" just very angry and slow!

I wasn't given any extra meds for this nor was I diagnosed w/ anything like divarticulitis.

Oh, when I get bloated it definitely feels like I have pressure and the urge to pee. Again, no idea when it will go away but hoping you find relief soon!
