One week post total abdominal hysterectomy
One week out. My incision was suppose to be a 2 and 1/2 inch binki line. Ended up 8 inches. Doing better each day. But major pulling on my right side. Go to doctor tomorrow. Just wonder why is was bigger and crooked. Hate to think I was messed up.

Re: total
My incision is 4 and a half inches, but straight.
When you go to the Doctor tomorrow ask why your incision is so long and crooked. You have a right to know!
Big Hugs.

Re: total
My incision was 9 inches, hip bone to hip bone. I was horrified. I knew it was going to be big as my fibroids were many and large but not that big. I can reassure you, though, that at 11 weeks post TAH, the incision has really shrunk. When you look at it now, you will find it hard to believe that it can shrink, I know I did. But, honestly, it does. Mine is now down to around 6 inches. I'm not expecting much improvement on that but it's better. Mine also looked really crooked and is now straight. I was glued and it looked terrible, really bumpy and skewed. As the swelling goes down it should look a lot straighter. You are still very very early days.
