Surgery cancelled for now...

Surgery cancelled for now, so less stress over planning birthday party for 6 year old ds

Since DBF (or me for that matter) can't answer question with a resounding NO (would you feel remorse if something happened to her and you didn't try to have kids) surgery is put off while we look into infertility treatment options and to see if it is even feasible with the ammount of scarring/endo I am dealing with - plus the fact that it would require reversing a tubal ligation.

we fought for 3 weeks because he was too scared to talk to me about complications, kids and my pain.

so thanks to all here, i will remain here lurking because i have known for 11 years that a TAH is my only final option to be pain free and this is such a wonderful and informative site.

I am glad you both were able to work this out. My husband and I spent many hours deciding if we were both Ok with not going along with further fertility treatment years ago. I did not want him to wake up one moment with regret. I had 9 surgeries in all trying to have children and was just too messed up in a variety of ways to ever be sucessful. At each point of my treatment, we sat down and talked it out. Would I do it all again, yes! This is how I came to terms with not have children.

Good luck with your quest!

((( Jen )))

I'm glad that you and DBF were able to talk before you went ahead with your surgery. You may already have visited the Hyster Sister Options and Alternatives Forum, but if not, that forum and also the Resource Forum may help as you research what options you have at this time.

I hope that you'll find a way to ease the pain that you have been living with while you explore whether you wish to try any infertility treatment options. Please let us know how you are doing.
