Help after surgery

I am scheduled for surgery March 12th. My DH is going back to work the Monday afterwards. Will I need someone there to help me or will I be ok alone?

What kind of surgery? I know TAH needs more help, others can speak to that kind. I had TVH and live alone with no help and needed none except for grocery runs. My mom had daVinci hyst and also lives alone with no help. Of course I didn't try to do heavy housework but anything else we were both fine, if that's helpful. Just personal experience, it depends on type of surgery and the person, as I'm sure others will say. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I am having an abdominal hyst. I am thinking I will be fine with limited help as well.
