always feeling tired

I had my Hysterectomy on August 17 don't have a lot of energy when will I feel good again?

You are still early in recovery so it is not abnormal to have a lack of enegy. Your body has been thru alot and needs time to heal so when you are tired you need to rest. I was tired alot until about 4 weeks. Even now at 8 wks I dont have all my energy back.

My surgery was a week before yours and I'm just starting to get some energy back. I was also anemic, which may have slowed my recovery. It does take time, though, for sure. I have days when I feel pretty good and days when I feel crummy. But this too shall pass!

My mom said she was tired for a good 6 months afterward and my SIL said it took her a year (!!!) to feel normal. I'm hoping it doesn't take me as long as either of them, but who knows... I think it's pretty normal for awhile.

I had my surgery 2 days after you did. I also have no energy. I think it is just part of the healing process. The fatigue forces us to lay down and heal. As women we are not used to slowing down and having to rest. I don't like it at all. I hope we all get our energy back sooner than later.
