2 week post op Doctor visit

Hi Girls...

Ummmm. I guess I should have surgery more often because apparently I'm really really good at it.

I wrote this morning that it was my 2-week anniversary and that I was feeling really well. I wasn't prepared for my doctor to tell me tonight that "he's never seen anything like it in 25 years of practice" - even joked: "Am I SURE I gave you a hyst??!"

He has actually cleared me for sex. He said me on top ONLY, and hubs can only go 1/2 way in - NO THRUSTING - and...only if I feel like it, of course - which I don't - not yet. We did an ultrasound and everything is healed and fine. no edema - nothing. Oh! am cleared for a bath, too! YAYYYY.

Must call mother tonight and thank her and dad (deceased) for the super-duper healing genes. They totally rock!

Two weeks. I NEVER would have thought. The power of positive thinking! I'm tellin' ya! It works!!

Wow.. I would still err on the side of caution. Doctors dont even clear that soon after giving birth and that is less invasive than a hysterectomy..

I agree with u Gail! That seems way too soon. I've had three babies vaginally and waited 6 weeks for all of them.

Well - it's not like he was pushing me into bed or calling my husband...and I definitely DO NOT want to yet...he just feels that I'm beyond the risk of infection or internal damage as long as I am in control.

right now, I'm happy to take a bath and leave it at that!

I'm praying my dr does the same for me this Thursday at my 2week post-op appt. I had 3 babies all vaginal and natural (NO DRUGS) in about 2-3 weeks I was good too go with all of them (even though my dr didn't see me until 6-8 weeks later...I had no problems.) 2 months after my last child I had a tubal ligation and was fine the next day.....So I'm praying that I still got SUPER HEALING GENE!!!!..LOL and I can get back to living my life....Working on 40 and FABULOUS

I'm just shocked that a doctor would feel that way so soon after something so invasive no matter how well the healing process is..

But happy that you have had a great recovery

Wow! Its great that you're healing so well. I have to say I feel a little jealous. I'm sure I wouldn't get the result if I was to go to my doctor right now (tomorrow is 2 weeks).
