What does 3 days mean?

I am having surgery on Friday....... I was told 3 day min. hospital stay....

Does this mean I will go home Sunday or Monday?

Crazy question... I just don't want to call the dr. office with that question! lol

I had a 2 day stay. My surgery was Friday morning and I went home Sunday evening.

yep thats what it means thats also what my surgery coordinator told me! but if you have any questions be sure to call, thats what they are there for, sweetie

My doc said surgery day PLUS 2 days for observation and recovery. I had surgery on Tuesday morning and was out on Thursday afternoon. Docs are different though, so you may want to give them a call anyway.

you are lucky your surgeon schedules procedures on Fridays. Mine doesn't wich means I had to miss even more work. My job has been great about it, but I am only 2 1/2 months in this job as was trying to minimize the absence. My doc. told me 3 - 4 days for my SAH

I also had mine on a Friday, was told 3-4 days, day of surgery didn't count for me. Thinking back I think she even said surgery THEN 3-4 days

I also had my surgery on a Friday, and my doctor told me it would be a three day stay. I was pleasantly surprised when he woke me up at 7:30 AM Sunday morning asking if I wanted to go home. I assumed since my surgery was not over until 5:30 PM Friday that that couldn't count as a day, but for him it did. Maybe he didnt feel like doing rounds Monday morning ...LOL

I had it explained that surgery is surgery and the next day is day one post op, etc. My surgery was on Monday, and I came home Thursday. He told me 2 to 3 day stay.
