I'm so tired

I have been so tired the past 2 days. Okay, I am 2 weeks postop and drove the other day. I knew I was overdoing it as I left...was too uncomfortable driving. I also attempted to wear my "fat" jeans which probably didn't help much. I know that attributes to the extra pain and discharge. But today I got up at 7:30 to get my daughter ready for school, laid back down by 9 and didn't get out of bed til just before 3. My DH is just wonderful and he'll be going back to work Monday. Today I told him that I wasn't ready for him to go back...he just looked at me. He's in the Army so he doesn't really have the luxury to just call out for another week. If I were really in serious shape, of course...but I just got a bit spoiled having him around. I really thought we'd be at eachother's throat by now but he's kept busy w/projects around the house...so it worked out great. Anyway...I had more energy last week...like some of you ladies out there...there were things I thought I was ready for...guess not. Believe me, I'm no busy body...I'm sure you all can relate. Thanx for letting me vent. Reading everyone's messages really helps w/recovery!

I'm so tired

At least you know you were overdoing.......and now you know what you get for overdoing.
Your DH will be anxious to get home and care for you, and you are one lucky lady for that!
Rest throughout the day, and play it by ear. You have to listen to your gut instincts and your body. It will tell you what you need. You just have to listen.

I'm so tired

Take it slow and listen to your body. :steer: I had a slow recovery since I had other issues, but my hubby was a great help. :superman: It's wonderful that your hubby is also supportive! Take care of yourself and remember the "'sisters" are here for you!

I'm so tired

Thank you so much ladies. This site has been a godsend! I'm slowing down and don't plan to do much of anything for here on in. I know that the recovery period is the most important part of this entire process...I will be a good girl. Again, Thank you sister!
