surgery the 28th and everyone here has the flu

I am so set to have this surgery on the 28th and wouldnt ya know it my kids come down with the flu. I had my flu shot so i'm praying I don't get it. I guess if it was i have a little bit of time to get it and get over it, maybe tamiflu if i did get it. I was at the doctors today with one of my youngest girls today and I ran into my doctor and i said i have surgery on the 28th is there anything i can do ( was getting at the tamiflu stuff) and he says just stay away from them and wash hands alot. I laughed so hard, yeah i am a mother and they are sick and i am supposed to stay away from them. How funny is that. I guess i'm supposed to check into a hotel or something for a week! I know they are all teenagers but they all still need mommy. Just thought i'd share my frustration and funny doctor story.

Hi Lisa,

Yeah, sometimes I think 's live in a different world than their patients!! I sure hope you don't come down with the 'flu, and that you'll call him if you start to have any symptoms at all. I know it's not easy, but try to get as much now as you can, and do follow his advice about washing your hands alot.

I hope your family all get over it soon. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
