A good thing NOT to do as you recover

So very sorry Hyster Sister: I am all too painfully aware of C-Diff as in 2005 I had it for THREE weeks due to 28 IV rounds of an antifungal from hell I was receiving for Histroplasmosis. I was in ICU for two of those three weeks then sent to another hospital an hour away because I was still bleeding. I nearly lost my mind AND my colon but the second hospital was able to surgically replace all the good flora into my colon and within 24 hours I was ready to eat and go home. Be sure to take a healthy dose of acidolphulis or eat yogurt. This time, before my hyster I drank Activia yogurt drink just to bulster up my insides.

Gall bladder is definitely easier........are you having it done laproscopicallly? I had mine out many moons ago, but still remember the pain vividly. I only had 2 attacks, the last one waking me up from a dead sleep. I remember asking the dr if I needed my gall badder and when he said no, I said take it out ! I couldn't stand having another attack ! Good luck to ya !

I'm so glad you got yourself to the hospital instead of trying to tough it out! C-Diff is nothing to mess with and it doesn't clear up on it's own.
