SAH has anyone lost weight? ??

I have lost 8.5kg post hysterectomy. .When I checked my weight 4weeks post op ...now 7 weeks post op haven't put on any...I am not that concerned as mu recovery has been ok..have my docs appointment on Thursday and this is one of my questions. ....just wondering whether this is normal???

Hi yes I lost 8 pounds because I was nauseated and had no appetite. It is slowly now going back on

Hi- I also have lost weight 5.5 lbs and I didn't have it to lose. It brought me down to 106. I to was extremly nauseated and no appetite, even was throwing up alot the first wk when I just tried fruit or toast with pb. Still no appetite and no weight gain so DH is having me drink 1 or 2 Boost drinks a day. I can eat some fruit and crackers finally. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I lost 5 lbs and I'm constantly nauseated. I have days where I have an appetite and days where I'm starving. Idk what's going on. People tell me I'm gonna lose weight & won't have an appetite, but I really don't know what to expect. I have mixed emotions.

Hi MzMartin ...we had our surgeries in the same week. ..I was slightly nauseated only for a week but my appetite has been quite low which is improving slowly. .I am sure your appetite will improve as well. .I think you need to talk to your doctor about your nausea...good luck. I am emotionally feeling better after I had a good walk today

I didn't lose any but I didn't gain any either, and after the initial nausea and yucky feeling, I've gotten very very hungry and am not exercising yet...FWTW.

I've lost about 10 pounds since my surgery and I'm at almost 12 weeks post op.

Thanks for all your response it looks like I am not the only one who lost weight..so I guess it's normal. .
