Quick question: Has anyone experienced acne as a side effect of a hysterectomy?

Hey ladies,

Quick question: Has anyone experienced acne as a result of a partial or full hysterectomy?

If so, do you have any ideas for how to help it?

As always, any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Michelle

Re: Quick question: Has anyone experienced acne as a side effect of a hysterectomy?

I noticed a breakout about 5-6 weeks after surgery. Even though I still get adult acne, that round of it was just odd. Though I didn't tackle it post-op, solutions which have helped me in the past are topical solutions include washes with salicylic acid, and ointments with benzoyl peroxide at night. Be aware that benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabric. You might want to sleep on an old towel, wear an old t-shirt and use a wash cloth and face towel which you don't mind getting bleach spots on.
