Sharp pelvic pain makes me pass out!

Hi, I'm new here and just wrote a short novel in the wrong thread, so I'll try not to be so long winded.
I had a TAH on Sept 8th. I have a sharp, burning pain in my lower right pelvic area, the pain takes my breath away. It's so bad I pass out. It only happens when I laugh, cough or sneeze. It happpened twice in the hospital, and again last night.
They did a vag and topical ultrasound last week, and everything looks normal.
Doc suggested laperscopic (in patient) exploritory procedure to see if bowels are attached to other parts.
Has anyone heard of this? I need to get back to work this week. I feel great otherwise....should I do it?
I am terrified of what this means.

Re: Sharp pelvic pain makes me pass out!

Hi and welcome Sorry you are having post op issues. Have you literally passed out 3 times from a laugh or sneeze? Was your surgery difficult?
Has your doctor ordered any other testing? X-Ray, CAT or MRI? Have you considered a second opinion?
Exploratory Laproscopic surgery may be a very good idea to find out what is going on. If it were me I would persue less invasive means first to such as CAT scan ect. If that were inconclusive I would seek a second opinion from a colorectal surgeon considering your doctor saying the bowel may be adhered.
If you go the route of an exploratory lap make sure you discuss with your doctor parameters of treatment in the event he finds something that needs surgical correction. Whether it will be done at that time, by whom, will he call in a specialist if needed ect.
I hope you get to the bottom of this quickly.
