anxiety medication before surgery?????

That's it! I've had enough of me getting on my nerves! I'm calling the doc tomorrow! I can't sleep. I took 2 Benadryl over an hour ago, and I'm here, talking to all of you wonderful ladies, and sleep is the fartherest from my racing mind!!!!!!!

Aaaargh! I'm gonna pull my hair out before Friday!

YOU are not alone. I took Xanax the night before and one the morning of. My surgery wasn't until 1pm. There was an emergency before my surgery so the my surgery was later. Anyway when I was being taking to the surgery room I told the anaseologist I didn't want to remember anymore and he gave me a shot I forget what it was called, but they said it was like a having a drink. They told me they normally give it in the pre-op room, but the didn't know what time my surgery would be because of the emergency.

After the surgery I asked if I could have something for anxiety. My doctor ordered a shot(sorry forgot the name of that one also) PRN. It helped me a lot and I was able to get sleep with it.
