Really bad burning and stretching of incision

Since last night my incision feels really tight and stretching like it is going to burst. Has anyone else had that? I was thinking could it be because of the change in weather from nice to cold and damp again? Is that part of the normal healing process? Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Really bad burning and stretching of incision

Have you been doing more than usual? I went to work in high heels for 2 hours yesterday, then had to pick up my 10month old b/c dh is sick, then folded laundry and felt the same way. I recognize the feeling from the two previous surgeries. As long as it relaxes when you lay down I wouldn't worry about it. If it gets worse or becomes unbearable call your doctor or go to the hospital. Good luck to you.

Thanks bookah. I just started driving very short distances this week so maybe that is what is causing it. It only goes away if I take something. Last night I had to take 2 percocet and today I have not done anything and it started again shortly after being up. I am hoping it is only temporary.

Really bad burning and stretching of incision

I'm sorry you're having these sensations with your incision. May I suggesst calling your doctor? It may be normal healing, but needing pain medication to feel better makes me wonder if something else could be happening. At 6 weeks, I was not feeling pulling on my 5" bikini incision any more. We do all heal at different rates, but that was my experience.

Please post what you find out!
