TAH Pap after total hysterectomy?

Hi ladies. I may be asking too soon as I'm only 11 days post opp but will I need to get a pap done due to having my cervix removed? I heard that's the only reason you would need to get one after having a hysterectomy... Read of other women still having them done to look at vaginal cuff??

I was told I would still need an annual pelvic exam, but the actual PAP test was no longer necessary.

It depends why you had the hysterectomy. If you had it for cervical cancer or precancer I think they still are done. Not sure on the exact guidelines for them though.

They found pre cancer on my entire cervix so it was a blessing it came out.
