Ugh ... Period Party
Well, don't you just know it ... I haven't had a period since August and yup, you guessed it ... my enemy has arrived for a last visit just in time for surgery this Friday !! If I had any doubts about surg being right thing, I don't anymore !!
How embarrassing though ... I know you ladies have said it's OK to go into surgery with your period, but man ... I am embarrassed !!!
Oh well, just one more lesson I'm supposed to learn I guess.
Not like my nerves aren't bad enough about all of this already !!
Two more days to go ...
s ladies !

Ugh ... Period Party
Hi
I asked my doctor about this possibility too, since I tend to bleed unexpectedly and for long periods of time. She said: don't even think about it. It isn't an issue for the surgeon at all, and since they're doing the surgery to relieve you of the "enemy," and do it all the time, I'm sure they've seen it before.
Hang in there - it will be all over in a few days and you'll be on your way to recovery and a happier life.
Blessings,
Rainy

Ugh ... Period Party
Thanks ladies ... Guess I have to chuckle (or else I'd go mad) ... I did call Dr's office just to be sure, as all Dr's are different. The nurse chuckled and told me to "enjoy it" for the last time, that all would be fine and it wasn't a problem, as surgery causes bleeding anyway, it's just a "little extra" to add to the mix, lol.
The cramps however are killing me !! Anyone have any suggestions on some pain relief, since I can't take any medication before Friday ??

Since you won't be able to bathe...try an extra hot bath or shower, (I've made my DH make me a jaccuzzi every day this week due to the pain!! and it's not even fully installed yet, lol!!) But, a heating pad works well too. Can't wiat for the 27th!! Hope all goes well for you, hon!! And take care of yourself!!
