I am home and resting

Hello all,

just a quick note to everyone that I am home and doing fine...had my TVH on friday at 11 am out of castle at 5pm yesterday.
To all teh LIW i can now say for sure that the waiting is the worst part!!!

I will post my whole stoy later..for now I am drinking walking resting and repeating!!!

Except for having to rescue breakfast that my DD tried (bless her heart) to make for me in bed LOL
I guess it's the thought that counts.

Anyway back 2 bed for me!!!

It's great to hear how swift your TVH castle stay was for you. Just practice your Princess rules and keep improving. I'm inspired now that maybe my TVH on Wednesday can go as smoothly as yours did. It's a relief to welcome you home so soon, and I am eager to read your story.

And thanks for the little DD breakfast story. I'm not sure how my DD is in the kitchen, but I'm ready for anything now. I've got my sense of humor warmed up because of you!

Hello all,
My TAH & BSO was on Thursday morning (6/6). I was up and out of bed that night for a little walk and brushed my teeth and washed my face. The nurses at the hospital were wonderful. Friday I was able to eat, and the doctor sent me home Friday evening. I am doing really well, much better than I had expected. Eating lightly, drinking lots and lots of clear fluids and only taking two Motrin every three hours or so. Doctor also put me on Premarin right away, and that seems to be working nicely, no side effects or mood swings at all. My DD has been a great help, keeping the house tidy and doing laundry and cooking. This morning I woke up and went downstairs and let my dogs out and fed them their breakfast. Made coffee, wandered around for a little bit and then came back upstairs for a nap. The waiting for this surgery is by far the worst part. So for those of you Princesses in Waiting, stay in good shape, keep active and think positive! Will write more later. Take care all.
