I have crossed..4-1/2 hour surgery with construction fencing

Hello, sisters! Here is my scoop.

Went in last Thursday, the 17th, for the big day. The surgery took 4-1/2 hours, 4 surgeons, and I now also have a fence around me.

The uterus was 345 grams (almost a pound), the bladder was behind the uterus, and adhesions were everywhere. My bladder has no idea what to think now not being pushed around by the uterus. And, I am not peeing drops every 2 hours, I am actually peeing like a big girl.

Once they got the uterus out, etc., they noticed the fascia was torn, hence the need for the construction mesh inside me.

The surgeons said I was a challenge. I guess so after the now 7th and FINAL surgery.

How am I feeling? Tired and moving slowly. Went to my 1st week post op check and everything is healing well. It is tough to just watch the house collapse, but what can you do. My husband and son have been a great help, but they are finally realizing how much mom does.

Suggestions? PILLOWS PILLOWS PILLOWS. They are very comfy, or as comfy as you can get.

Good to be back and feel free to to fire away any questions you may have.

Love and hugs to you all. I have crossed to the other side.

I believe it got tossed so bad due to all my surgeries. My bladder, and bowel do not know how to act. I am actually having BM's everyday now. That is definitely weird for me...it would usually be every 4 days. My uterus was such a bully, lol. My bladder, and myself, are very happy that we don't have to pee every 2 hours, lol. The dogs need to get on the new schedule of not going out every two hours during the night.

Like I said, this is the 7th and LAST. Been doing the surgery thing since 18. So happy it is over. Moving slow and I know the drills since I have had the numerous ab surgeries.
