TAH 4 week post op pains

After 4 weeks of TAH I still have this annoying pain n left lower side..across my hip and into back. It doesn't hurt all the time but when I walk or stand for a while it hits me..them it hurts to sit down. Im trying to get in more activities so when I go back to work in 2 weeks it wont be so rough on me. Anyone else have this kind of pain? Its like a sudden pulling and burning pain.

I'm 9 weeks post TAH and still feeling the effects of doing "too much" at times. Most of my discomfort was also on my left side but as the weeks went on the pains and uncomfortable feelings seemed to move to different areas. I put this down to life coming back into the nerves inside as they were healing.
Go one day at a time and rest when you can.

I have consistently seen posts about left side pain & burning. I'm 3 months after my surgery and when discomfort happens, it's also on my left side. I wonder what's up with that?

Its just basically annoying to me! Cause otherwise I feel great now. But when I go shopping..I can not even finish before I have to leave the store and sit down. I'm not sure If its an issue that I need to tell my dr about or not...I don't want to sound like a whiner lol. As for going back to work in 2 weeks...I'm not sure about that either cause I basically have a very strenuous job...lost of heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling stuff.And I stand for 10 hours...will my Dr send me back after 6 weeks or will it be longer I wonder?

stephrae76 - make sure to call your doctor to let him/her know what is going on. They can guide you from there. I cannot imagine going back so early to a heavy lifting job - I would be worried about potential injury. Talk it all over with your dr. Hope you continue to heal well.

I have pain on my left groin area/ hip and its like a pulling almost like a knotted or tight muscle.

Yes..that's the same pain. But yesterday was the first day I did not have this pain and I was very active... so fingers crossed whatever it was..its gone now!
