gas problems

I'm scheduled for a TAH/BSO the 29th of July. I have multiple fibroids on my uterus, prolonged bleeding, and all the discomforts that go with that. I've been experiencing alot of gas problems the last week. Could it be caused by the fibroids? I'm really careful about what I eat.....I'm not eating gassy foods.

I also go for my pre-op visit with my gyn Friday......any special questions I need to ask?

Thank you for all your help and comfort since I found this site about a month ago when I first found out I needed a hys.

gas problems

Hi Debbie

I'm not sure about the gas problems. Since you've been noticing them for just the past week, perhaps it could be some sort of intestinal bug?

Here is a good list of questions to take with you to your pre-op appointment:

Best wishes to you!

gas problems

Debbie,

I am also having a lot of gas problems, not sure why. I bought some Gas-X and have been taking that to try and help with the problem. I also have fibroids, I doubt they are causing the gas, but they may be pressing on the intestines and causing some gas pockets or additional pressure.

My abdomen feels like an overinflated beach ball!! My back is hurting all of the time now and I am so ready for this surgery to be over. I am convinced that the post-opp pain can't be much worse than what I am dealing with the last week.

Just a few more days and we will both be princesses!!!
