Whoa Nellie! Surgery so soon?

Came home and had a message from the doctor's office. My surgery is scheduled for Monday!

Its tooo sooooon!

I put in a call to my folks, and a call to my boss and they say go ahead and get it over with.

Well, I guess I will, but its going to be NUTS trying to get everything in order between now and then. :hair:

I suppose I should go put my surgery date in my profile now.

If you have someone to help you after the surgery, I would just get done what you can. I was taking care of my Dad in the evenings after work, til 2 days before surgery. So in essence, I only had 2 days to prepare. I did what I could and the rest....I let go of.

Just take it one day at a time and do what you can to prepare your home...to make it comfortable for you when you get home from the hospital.

Most of all, think positive! Oh, and don't forget to breathe! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

I only had 1 day to "prepare" for surgery. I saw my GYN on January 6th and had the surgery on the 8th!
I spent most of the 7th in pre-op! I didn't worry about getting anything done since I had my husband to help out. I wrote out easy to prepare meals that he or my step-daughter could cook in the crock pot or oven!
One thing I do suggest though is that you make a trip to the grocery store and so on for supplies you will need for the next two weeks. That way you don't have to worry about it.

Hope all goes well for you and that you have a great transition time and quick painless recovery. You will be in my prayers. Check out the calendar and you will find that there are many ppl with our surgery date. I go in at 9:30 and I believe my surgery is scheduled for 11 or 12. Only a few more days.

My heart goes out to you, and my prayers will be with you. I do have to admit that I'm a little jealous. Originally my surgery was set for Oct. 19. It would be all over with. But due to several issues i still have 3 weeks to wait and stew.

Don't worry about what you DON"T get done. None of it is more important than you getting better!!! Everything else will work itself out! "If God brings you to it, He will bring you thru it"

IDS, Im having a vaginal hysterectomy for a 3rd degree prolapse, repair of a urethrocele, and repair of a 3rd degree rectocele, and some vaginal support work. One doozy of a surgery the doc says.

Here's hoping I'll come through it like a trooper.

I'll be anxious to hear how you get through your surgery. Please feel free to PM me if you'd like to do some mutual support thing since we are going through this at the same time. Its easy to lose track of people on this forum since its so big.
