Hello Ladies...I will be 3 weeks this Friday. I do not feel ready to do any of the things I hear all of you doing. I did have some surgery on quite a bit of my internal organs as well and think maybe thats why I feel this way. My incision is so think and lumpy, it kills me. I do long for the days of feeling better. I try each day to do something more than the last but it has been hard this far. TAKE CARE TO ALL!!

Hi Ladies,
I'll be at 3 weeks Thurs. feeling pretty good too. Today I am more tired than usual. I took a short drive at 9 days. 25 mins round trip to take my daughter to a sleep over. Roads are a little bumpy this time of yr. here in WI. Did make me tired.

This Sat. going stir crazy and feeling good and went out on a 3hr. adventure. Barnes & Noble, Pet Store, Craft Store and lunch. Ended up coming home with severe leg pain and almost went to the ER. I have been trying to take it easy since and stick with light house work. It's hard to sit when you feel good.

I work out of my home so have been working since the 2nd week. I have my wireless lap top so I have my office set up in my great room and have been working from my couch. When I'm tired I let VM take over and I take a nap and handle things when I can.

How are you guys doing with swelly belly?? Mine is better but still bugs me.
Take Good Care...Glad to hear your recovery is going well.

I drove at 8 or 9 days post-op.DH was with me to take over if I needed it, which I didn't.I did need to rest when I got home though.
My swelly belly is still there.I notice it more when I've done alot during the day.At night sometimes I look as though I'm 9 1/2 months pg.I do not wear any panties as they aggrivate my swelly belly to much still.
Glad to know so many of us are doing this well.
Prayers going to EVERYONE!!!!

I am three weeks tomorrow (TLVH)!! I can't believe how good I feel!! I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I saw the doc today and he released me to go back to work this coming Monday...I am sooo excited to rejoin society!!
I know I will be tired and sore for the first few weeks back but it will be so worth it.
I am going stir-crazy being at home these past few days; that is how I know I am ready to get out in society once again.
I did 95% of my recovery with no help. I had one meal made for me (the night I got home from the castle) and last week a nice lady from church came and did my laundry for me (the machines are two flights down).
Even though I would have loved to have a wonderful DH or family member by my side, I truly wonder if I did better because I was forced to get up and do things; even at a slow pace. I knew neighbors were a short phonecall away if I ran into trouble.
I think this whole experience has made me a stronger person. I really thought I would fall apart by now and not be able to handle everything...but I did it!! And I feel great!!!
One huge part of my recovery of course has been everyone at this site!! It has been wonderful knowing so many other women are going thru the exact same thing as me...we truly are sisters.
Blessings to you all....Mary

Hi 3 weekers,
I'm feeling pretty good for the most part. I still have some pain in my rightside and swelled belly. I go to the Dr tomarrow to see why i still have pain in my rightside. I also get leg cramps. I think I'm doing well in my recovery. I have more pain at night and first thing in the morning ( I think I thrash around in my sleep)and at night. I still have issuses falling asleep at night .
