Bleeding heavy

HELP!!! I had a D&C on August 10th and now am having another period, but I am bleeding like never before. I have had heavy periods but this one is so very different. I am going through a super tampon every hour and when I change it alot of clots and pooled blood comes out (sorry if this is gross)

Does anyone know if this is normal after a D&C, and I do have endo, should I call my Doctor, this started about 8 PM yesterday and still going on as of now 4PM.

By the way my thoughts and prayers to anyone who is personally affected by todays tragedies!!

Brenda, Don't wait another minute. Please call your doctor NOW. I'm sure he will either want to see you immediately or tell you to go to the Emergency Room. Make sure you have someone drive you as you've lost so much blood.

Please keep us posted. Best wishes,

Thank you both for your response, I did call the Doctor and was told to get off my feet and rest and if it was not slowing down to report to the hospital by 9 tonight, I am happy to say that now I am only going through a tampon in about 2 hours, so, so far so good!! Thanks for all your concern and I promise that if it starts up again I will go in , my husband is on standby!!!

Blinda....I hope by the time you've read this you would have called & seen the dr.

I had same severe heavy clotting periods. Was told normal, due to being on Lupron, everything under the sun. DEMANDED they test my blood count, on a Tuesday it was 6.5 & that Friday a 6. Needless to say, I had a 2 unit blood transfusion right then and there. (getting thru admissions was a real peach, changed a pad, and soaked thru 5 minutes later).

The D&C I had then also lessoned my bleeding, practically stopped it for all but 10 days. Bleeding started back up again, not as heavy this time. Now it's stopped. Thank God Sept 14th is almost here......

Please let us know how you make out!

Deb

Severe periods, clotting, anemia, enlarged uterus, fibroid(s), will find out what all else on Friday

Bleeding heavy

I had a D&C and scraped a fibroid, removed right ovary in July. Since then I have the same thing plus nasty, double-you-over cramps, my periods are heavier than I could possibly imagine. Change a tampon every 30-45 minutes the first 3 days, then change every 1 to 1 1/2 for 2-3 days. Have had my blood checked, they said I was fine. They said rest, put your feet up. It helps only slightly. I have LAVH scheduled for 10/1 - can't wait! I am scared and nervous, but I have to admit, these ladies on this board are incredible and we couldn't have better support! Glad to have found this site!
