7 weeks post hysterectomy: Pain around incision?

Hey everyone, I am now in my 7th week post op, and have been released for "normal" activity 2 weeks ago. So while I have allowed myself to get back to my life and activities, I have been trying not to push things too much.

A couple of days ago, I started hurting around the incision area right below my belly. It almost feels like it is bruised and it is tender when I touch that area. I had been feeling pretty good otherwise up until I started feeling the pain.

Has anyone else had this issue? Does it mean that I am pushing myself harder than I thought?

If anyone has had any experience with this, I would appreciate just hearing other folks input and experience on this.

Re: Pain around incision?

I have soreness under my incision located below bikini line. It's sore underneath and around the cut. I'm nearly 6 weeks post op. I was great at week 4. The soreness finally went away, but now it's back. I have a feeling it's from the hke I took the other day. I have an appt on Friday so I'll ask the dr. I also having been spotting and bleeding for nearly 2 weeks. One panty liner a day. Not happy with all of this.

Re: Pain around incision?

It could possibly be the nerves regrowing. I have double bikini cut from 1974 & 75 for infertility surgery. Even after all these years there have been times where I would get soreness. After my hysterectomy, I have had places along it where I get nerve 'twinges' which is weird. I am going to ask the doctor next week if any of the adhesions were on those incisions which could explain the twinges.
