LAVH Amazing Recovery

I had my full hysterectomy on Tuesday January 20. I went back to work the following Monday. Crazy enough I had zero pain. Never had to take any of the pain pills. Not even 1 ibuprofen. Other than the gas build up. That was not fun. But I'm feeling great. I have an amazing doctor. I'm new to kaiser and was very hesitant, but she was great. At my post-op I told her how great I feel and that I went back to work less than a week after. She gave me a high five and said this is the best hysterectomy she's ever done then (in 10 years).

Your recovery sounds like mine! Glad you are doing so well, and now hopefully your story can reassure all of the nervous pre op women!

Yeah, mine was just as quick. I had it on Tuesday stayed in hospital Tuesday night released at breakfast on Wednesday and was working from home (had my lap top set up) on Thursday and physically in the office the following Tuesday (my DH drove). BEST decision I ever made as there is so so much less pain than before. I have my two week follow up tomorrow and just waiting to see the path results and see if we can understand why I had bleeding that was worse after an ablation six months prior along with a lot of pain.
