It JUST hit me!!

That I'm really going to have this done!!! OMG! I talked to the doc's office today, and they let me know that all is well with the insurance end of things, and they set my pre-op appt up. I discussed my meds with them and they told me that doc wants me to stop 2 weeks before surgery....that's this comming Tuesday! The following Mon is my pre-op and the week after that is my surgery. I guess just made it all really real to me. Looking on the sunny side, but WOW!

Keep on the Sunny Side, Inan! I'm so happy for you! Keep the positive attitude going... the mental part is always at least half of the battle!

And that reminds me, anyone who hasn't seen "O Brother Where Art Thou" should add it to that list of movies to watch while convalescing!

We all had that moment when it was 'really real'. Its something isn't it? I found so much support on this site, there really isn't anything in life quite like it.

Wow!!! You just made me realize that mine is also right around the corner. I talked to the doc's office today and they cleared everything, but it didn't sink in until I read your post!! Oh wow!!

I'd better get off the computer and finish cleaning my house!!

We're going to the castle the same day. We'll have the same anniversary!! I hope all goes well with you.

I too remember the OMG moment, it's like the plans have been going on, the phone conversations, and then just a few days before the operation you hear all the wheels are in motion this thing is really going to happen. The insurance is OK, you've double checked everything and the Dr. you picked is fantastic...So now just relax do your FEW and I really mean Few last minute things that need to be done and go to the castle knowing you'll feel so much better after your recovery. Have a very nice stay at the castle, and we look forward to hearing from you when you're a princess!

Along with the "a-ha!" moment for me was that incredible feeling that I was the only woman who this had ever happened to....I don't know if you're feeling this or not.

I knew in my head that this was happening to lots of others, but it was like I was in my own little bubble during those pre-op days.
