Bleeding Started 2 1/2 Wks. Post. Op Tsh

Hi everyone,

I have a concern that I need some share with someone since I can't call my doc until tomorrow. I went back to work at 2 weeks (my doc said that I definitely could). I have a busy dental practice and am getting up and down many, many times throughout the day. I felt tired at work but otherwise really good. Afterwards, I came home and rested. Last night I started to bleed much more than just slight blood tinged discharge. Now I am really afraid that I did something to hurt my self. I will call the doc tomorrow but I wondered if anyone has had a similar situation.

i bled pretty heavy about a month after my lsh. the dr did want to see me and examine me but he couldnt find a reason (assumed it was leftover from the surgery) and it never happened again. its good to let your dr know, just in case he wants to see you, but its probably nothing. i was released for everything at 2 weeks also and have had no problems at all.

My Dr warned me that I could start bleeding heavily within a few weeks after having surgery. The reason is that the hematoma may rupture. One of them did but there is still another one in there. The hematoma is apparently like the clot that forms over the wound where the uterus was removed. Check it out online to be sure. My first one ruptured leaving me in a pool of blood. Had she not warned me it would have freaked me out. A pelvic examine confirmed a second one. They are suppose to dissolve back into the body, but may rupture for different reasons, mine was because of the coumadin after the massive PE that was a result of the hysterectomy.
