One side hurts more than other in recovery
One of my symptoms before surgery was pain and tenderness in my lower left pelvic area. My doctor said the pain could be because the adenomyosis could be worse on that side, but he doubted it was because of my ovarian cysts. He also said that the surgery may not fix the problem because it was not possible to determine exactly what was causing it.
I'm 1 week out and the pain is still there. It feels different now, more like a healing pain - but maybe I'm just imagining that. I don't have details on my surgery yet and won't until my checkup at 6 weeks. I do know that the left ovary had 3 cysts and that a very large fibroid (larger than uterus) was on top of the uterus. I also know that my TVH/BSO took about 2 hours, which I believe is a fairly long time frame for that surgery.
Have any of you with specific pain areas had those areas remain painful during recovery and then resolve? Any ideas on what could be going on?
Of course, I will talk to my doctor about this, but I'm hoping you ladies will help me with some of your experiences.
