Itchy rash

Ok now I have this itchy rash at top.of my.stomach.area..and I am.not.sure what has caused it..could be.the pain meds..or.something.they used.in surgery or.the binder I have on that has.aggravated it? My dr office.is closed...so can't call them...I.am.going to get some.benadryl and see if that helps.
Last time.I had surgery I had.to go get prednisone to fix this issue..ugh..I am taking a diff med then last time to.try and stop.this...guess didn't.work

Even if the doctor's office is closed, do they have an answering service so that someone can call you back? Many do. Another option is urgent care or of course your primary doctor. It could be many things including an allergy to adhesive. If the binder keeps you warmer, then it might aggravate the itchy rash. If it were me, I would want to be seen just to be sure. You don't want that rash to spread.

Check if you have a temp. If not, most likely youre having a rash/allergy to latex gloves or the surgical tape. Hospitals always want you to report rashes, so you can notify your Dr or the hospital.

I had a rash on my abdomin & sides after surgery. I did see residue from the surgical tape, so I know thats what caused my rash. I didnt want to take benedryl, so i applied benedryl topical ointment & it went away in a few days.
